We had a wonderful workshop with Simon O’Dwyer from Ancient Music Ireland last week. He took us through the history of Irish music from 8000BC to today. He introduced us to instruments like the stone whistle, beat stones, the bone whistle, the flint trumpet, a bow harp, the ram horn, the goat horn, the bull horn and the shell horn. We also learned about the frame drum (first bodhrán), the bronze horn, the celtic tumpet and the iron hand bell. It was a really great workshop and we learned many interesting facts about our past too.

Thank you Simon.
