We were delighted to welcome Martin Connor back to the school garden this month. We did a big tidy up and spent a lot of time weeding! We enjoyed harvesting our potatoes, onions, beetroot and courgettes. These were all planted on 12th March-the day the school closed and Ireland went into lockdown- needless to say the harvest was very poignant this year. We enjoyed delicious vegetable soup which we served with sourdough bread and homemade beetroot relish. We really enjoyed making the relish in school. We have lots of exciting gardening projects planned for the year ahead. Stay tuned for more updates.
