Over the past few weeks the children have been very busy learning about how we can help others and they have done a lot of fundraising. Firstly, they all participated in the MS Readathon, we then had a Christmas Jumper Day in aid of St Vincent de Paul Westport and then we took to the stage in Tesco to raise some funds for the school. We are absolutely blown away by the success of these initiatives.
*The children raised €930 for MS Ireland during the Readathon- such a fantastic amount for 30 children- they are truly remarkable. Together they read nearly 400 books during November and December. We are so proud of you children- Keep up the wonderful reading.
*Our annual Christmas Jumper Day raised €238 for St Vincent de Paul Westport- this money will go towards helping local people who are in need over the Christmas period.
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful children in Carrakennedy NS who always think of others before themselves. Well Done a phaistí!
